WORKING METHOD
The residency is organized around sustained exchange rather than one-directional instruction. Participants bring projects situated within particular organizations, independent initiatives, professional fields, histories, and material constraints. The task of the group is to create conditions under which those projects can be examined with rigor, generosity, and attention to positionality.
Presentation and discussion may engage programmes, policy documents, budgets, governance diagrams, curricula, contracts, archives, interfaces, audience research, artistic works, performances, spatial plans, essays, lectures, or hybrid forms. No single kind of evidence is treated as sufficient for every question. Participants will be encouraged to distinguish official accounts from operative practices, individual experiences from structural claims, and desired outcomes from the means available to achieve them.
Discussion will attend to language, procedure, resource distribution, decision pathways, affected constituencies, and the relation between intention and consequence. Participants need not possess formal authority to implement institutional change, nor are they expected to speak on behalf of an entire organization. They will, however, be asked to clarify their own position, the limits of their knowledge, and the responsibilities attached to their proposals.
Criticality is understood as constructive and consequential. Feedback should neither affirm every project nor reduce institutional inquiry to accusation. It should reveal tensions, identify unexamined assumptions, test whether proposed means correspond to declared values, and open viable paths for further work. Productive disagreement is essential. The programme seeks a discourse in which incompatible positions can be stated clearly, examined fairly, and revised through encounter.
